There are things to look forward to in every time of year, but there is something about the cool freshness of fall that really makes us feel grateful. What we really love though, is how easy it is to see symbols of Christianity in the world around us. Fall especially has some great symbols of who we are and what we believe.
God is a living being that created us all.
And in a way, trees are similar to God in the way they live and create.
We believe in change through repentance.
The trees change too. They even change their colors and let go of things old as the leaves flutter to the ground.
We believe in an afterlife.
Trees do too. Trees shed their leaves and bloom again, new and alive.
We are physically separated from God,
just like the leaves eventually separate from the tree. Unlike the leaves though, we can return to our Creator.
God created it all for us.
And thank goodness he created the season of fall. The leaves give off that undeniable scent of nature and the world changes around us, color by color.
